How to use Airbnb Opportunities 

Learn how to use the Airbnb Opportunities tab in Hotel Link to apply Airbnb's personalised recommendations to your listings, improve your booking performance, and see how your properties compare against competitors without switching between platforms.

This feature is only available when Airbnb connection is activated. If you have not activated the connection, please read this article.

What is Airbnb Opportunities?

Airbnb Opportunities is a feature that gives you recommendations based on what guests are searching for on Airbnb. Each recommendation suggests a setting or change you can apply to your listings to help improve your booking performance.

What's on this tab?

To access this tab, please go to Channel Manager > select Airbnb > click on the Opportunities tab.

On this page, you will see the following information:

  • Opportunity Overview: The chart displays the opportunity adoption rate for the listing.

    • Similar listings: Percentage of opportunities that other Hosts in the same area have applied to their listings.

    • All listings: Percentage of opportunities that all Hosts on Airbnb have applied to their listings.

    • Your listings: Percentage of opportunities you have currently applied to your listings.

  • Ways to improve your business based on the opportunity listings (if any): The table will show a list of eligible opportunies that can be applied to some or all of your listings. Next to each opportunity, you will see the percentage of your listings that have applied this opportunity.

    For example: For 'Offer monthly discounts' opportunity, there are 56% of your listings that have applied this opportunity.

Apply opportunities

  • Step 1: Select an opportunity from the list of opportunities that haven't been fully applied.

  • Step 2: Enter the required inputs or options depending on the type of opportunity.

  • Step 3: Choose the listings you want to apply this opportunity to.

  • Step 4: Click 'Apply' to save changes. The opportunity will be applied to the selected listings.

Please note that if a host wishes to modify an opportunity that has already been applied to a listing, they should make the changes directly in the Airbnb system.
