Surcharge display and calculation updates in our system

Overview

When you have set up surcharge fee in Booking Engine > Setup > Payment method, the travellers will be required to pay this fee when making the payment for direct bookings.

This is applied across the following pages:

Thank you page

For Bank deposit and Manual credit card collected, the rules for Thank you page and Confirmation email will be different from the rules above.

Conditions for surcharge display

Depending on the booking condition deposit setup in Booking Engine > Setup > Booking Conditions > Deposit Type, the travellers have to pay the full booking amount at the booking time or they have to pay the booking amount multiple times. In this case, the payment will be divided into two cases:

Single payment for the full booking amount
Multiple payments for the booking amount

2. Multiple Payments:

- No automatic payment for future installments (from the 2nd payment onward) via Payment Gateway:

Front Desk - Calendar

Bookings that have not been edited: When hovering over the booking, the “Amount” will include surcharges from future payments (pending surcharges). For these bookings, an additional note will be shown: “Please note that the surcharge may include surcharges from future payments.”
Bookings that have been edited: When hovering over the booking, the tooltip will display normally (without the additional note mentioned above).
