'Rooms Recommended for You' section on Booking Widget

We are introducing a smarter way for travellers to search and book rooms on your Booking Widget. This update is designed to help guests, especially those who book for larger or more complex groups, find the right rooms faster with less guesswork.

What is changing?

This update brings a set of improvements to the search form and booking experience, with the highlight being a brand-new Rooms Recommended for You section. Here is a summary of everything that is new.

What's new

New "Number of Rooms" field in the search bar

Travellers can now enter how many rooms they need directly in the search bar, alongside the number of adults and children. This gives the Booking Widget the information it needs to show the most suitable options right away.

'Rooms Recommended for You' section

After searching, a new section appears at the top of the results. It displays rate plans that match the traveller's exact group size and number of rooms so guests no longer have to figure out which rooms work for their group on their own.

Each recommended room includes a helpful hint showing exactly how many rooms to book to accommodate everyone.

A rate plan only appears in this section when it:

• Provides enough rooms for the requested number
• Fits all adults and children comfortably

'Other Available Rooms' section

The existing room listing is renamed Other Available Rooms and moved below the new recommended section. The filtering logic stays the same. This section continues to show all available rooms for the selected dates, excluding those already shown in the 'Rooms Recommended for You' section.

New "Clear Selection" button

A new one-click Clear Selection button in the Booking Summary allows travellers to remove all selected rooms at once and start their search over without having to deselect each room individually.

Clearer empty states

When no rooms are available for the selected dates, a clear message is now displayed to inform the traveller and suggest choosing different stay dates. This helps reduce any confusion about why the results page appears empty.
