How to request card details with Hotel Link Pay?

Activating Hotel Link Pay

To request card details, you first need to activate Hotel Link Pay. For more information, click here.

When you need to request card details

Use request card details when:

  • Invalid or declined credit card: When the existing credit card cannot be authorized or is declined during a guarantee or payment attempt.

  • Incorrect or incomplete card information: When card details such as the card number, expiry date, or CVV are missing, incorrect, or entered incorrectly.

  • Missing card details on the booking: When a booking (mostly offline bookings) is created without any credit card information but a valid card is required to secure the reservation.

Step-by-step guide

Once Hotel Link Pay is activated, follow the steps below to request card details:

  1. Go to the booking details of any booking, even bookings from OTAs
  2. Scroll down to Payments section > Actions
  3. In the Actions menu, select 'Request card details'.
  4. When the Request card details window appears, click 'Request Card' to confirm the action.
  5. A card details request will be sent to the main guest's email as following:
  6. On the guest's end, they need to click 'Submit card' to complete the process.
