How to disconnect an OTA from Hotel Link Channel Manager

Disconnecting an OTA from your Hotel Link Channel Manager is a straightforward process. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you efficiently remove an OTA connection.

  • Begin by logging into your Hotel Link extranet with your credentials.
  • Once logged in, navigate to 'Channel Manager'. This section lists all the OTAs.
  • Locate the specific OTA you wish to disconnect from the list of connected channels.
  • On the 'Mapping' tab, click on the 'Deactivate' button.
  • To complete the disconnection click on 'Delete' to remove the mapping.

Delete-OTA

By deactivating the connection only, the mapping will be retained, giving you the option to reactivate the OTA connection in the future. The 'Delete' button, however, will remove the mapping between the rate plans in the OTA and in the Hotel Link extranet.

Unmapping rate plans

f a rate plan no longer exists in the OTA extranet, it's important to unmap it. This requires fetching the rooms again and confirming their mapping. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Channel Manager and select the OTA.
  2. On the 'Mapping' tab click on the 'Fetch Rooms' button.
  3. By clicking on 'Fetch Rooms' the channel manager will access the OTA system to retrieve the complete list of rate plans available. The rate plan excluded from the OTA should not appear on the new rate plan list.
  4. Adjust if necessary and confirm the mapping between the channel and OTA rate plans.
  5. Click 'Save'.

Note: If you prefer not to use certain rate plans on the channel, it's advisable to remove them directly from the channel's extranet. This helps prevent any issues with unmapped rates in the future.
