What are Meta tags?

Meta tags are part of the website code tags that describe your page content to search engines and website visitors. Meta tags in Hotel Link website templates include:

Meta Tags on Google

Title Tag: The title tag is displayed as the blue clickable headline for each search result. It serves as a concise description of the webpage's content and gives users an idea of what to expect when they click on the link. It's important to create a compelling and relevant title tag to attract users and improve click-through rates.

Description Tag: The description tag, also known as the meta description, appears beneath the title tag. It provides a brief summary or snippet of the webpage's content. A well-crafted description tag should succinctly describe the page and entice users to click on the link to learn more. An engaging description can significantly impact click-through rates and user engagement.
