The location setting ensures your property is accurately displayed on the map, making it easier for guests to find you. It enhances trust, improves visibility on search platforms, and supports accurate directions in booking confirmations.
What is a location?
The location on your website helps define and display your property's exact position on a map. It ensures that guests can easily find your accommodation, whether browsing on desktop or mobile devices. Setting the correct location also improves trust and enhances your property's visibility on booking engines and search platforms.
Step-by-step guide
- Go to Website > Website Development.
- On the left menu, choose 'Location'.
On this page, you need to set up the following information:
- Intro: The Section Title is what will be used as the page title. The description section should include information about the surroundings and on how to reach the accommodation.
- Map type: you can choose to display the hotel location according to the image file or Google map.
- Google Map: Click on the Lat/Long icon to enter the location of your accommodation. Besides the Hotel mark, the system supports Landmark, Shopping and Restaurant marks to help the guests identify the location of your accommodation. Click on add new mark to add more elements, and drag and drop to adjust the location of the new elements on the map.
- Static: Use the Static map type only when the Google Map option is not accurate.
- Map Layout: Select the the type of map displayed on the website.

Map: Typical road map. Roads, some man-made features, and important natural features such as rivers are shown. Road and feature labels are also visible.

Satellite: Satellite photograph data. Road and feature labels are not visible.

Terrain: Topographic data. The map includes colors, contour lines and labels, and perspective shading. Some roads and labels are also visible.

3. Once you're done, click 'Save'.
When the setting is complete, the Location option on the left menu will change to tick (complete):
