Hotel Link Pay offers an innovative solution that streamlines the process of charging cards, ensuring both security and convenience for hoteliers and their guests.
When guests provide their card at the time of booking, or when you add it manually to the booking, Hotel Link Pay securely stores all the data, allowing you to charge the card as needed.
If you already have a credit card attached to the reservation, please follow the steps below to charge the card. For detailed information on how to add a card to a reservation, please read the article 'Adding card details to a reservation'.
Charging cards
Inside the Booking Details page of the reservation you need to charge, go to the 'Payments' section. If there is a card attached to the booking, it will be listed in the 'Card Stored' subsection.
- In the card row, click on the dotted menu and select 'Charge card'.
In the 'Add New Payment' popup, you can define:
- The amount to be charged.
- The amount of the surcharge, if any.
- The currency in which the amount will be charged.
- Confirm the charge in the popup.
- If the currency being charged is different from the currency the property is using in the Booking Engine, the system will convert the amount to the charging currency.
- Click 'Charge'
If the charge is successful, the charge record will be listed in the 'Payment Method' subsection.
