      How to set up Accommodation details

      Learn how to provide comprehensive information about your property, including its name, type, location, and a descriptive introduction. These details help guests get a clear understanding of your accommodation and its features.

      Step-by-step guide

      To set up Accommodation details, follow the steps below:

      1. Log in Hotel Link Extranet.
      2. Go to Booking Engine > Setup
      3. On the left menu, click 'Accommodation Details'.

      Then you need to update the following information for your property:

      • Description: The Description text should include the most important information about your accommodation, ideally the highlights and what makes it unique. The description only appears on the stand-alone booking widget (About us section).
        For example:

      • Featured image: The Featured Image is a photo that portraits your accommodation, ideally the best image available.
      • Banner: The banner appears on the check-out page of the booking process.
      • Banner for Mobile: The banner for Mobile appears on the check-out page of the booking process, and it is used for the responsive version of the booking widget when opened from a smartphone.
      • Logo for Voucher (optional): input your accommodation’s logo shown on the email sent to guests.

      Note: For optimal results, only use high resolution jpg files with the recommended height and width dimensions. The file can't exceed the maximum file size. 

      • Geolocation: There are two ways to locate your accommodation:
        • Google Map: Locate your accommodation on Google Maps. The map location will show up in the booking voucher sent to your guests. 
          • Input the correct Latitude (X) and Longitude (Y) then click 'Save':
          • Then our system will automatically generate the link for you. You can click on the link to double check if the location is accurate or not.
        • Static: In case the Google Map above is not accurate, you can use the Static map.
      • Features: Select the features or services your accommodation offers by ticking the relevant options, so travellers can easily see what is available.

      Once you have completed all of the settings, click 'Save'. 

      Ensuring that your accommodation details are clear, complete, and up to date not only enhances your property’s visibility but also builds trust with potential guests, helping them make informed booking decisions with confidence.
