What is 'Restricted Room'?

Restricted rooms are the rooms that have availability but are set with special conditions such as min length of stay, max length of stay, closed to arrival, closed to departure and release period.

How to use the 'Restricted Room' feature

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use the 'Restricted Room' feature effectively:

• Access the Hotel Link Extranet
• Go to Booking Engine > Rates & Availability Page to set up the special conditions to the rooms or rate plans. Learn more 
• Navigate to the settings based on what solution you’re using:
  • Website > Website Development > Reservations > Restricted Room
  • Booking Widget > Restricted Room
• Activate or deactivate the 'Restricted Room' feature.

How 'Restricted Room' feature works

To activate or deactivate 'Restricted Room' feature, please follow the instruction below:

• "Show Restricted Rooms" option only works when value of the option "Show On Request Rooms" is Hide.

The restrictions rooms are rooms that still have allotments but travellers cannot book because some conditions are not met like: min night, max night, CTA, CTD, release period.

• After that, choose the selection for the 'Restricted Room' feature:
  • To activate Restricted Room: choose Show: the booking widget will display the restricted rooms on the bookable section with the condition of that room. 
    
    For example:
  • To deactivate Restricted Room: choose Hide: the booking widget will NOT display the restricted rooms on the bookable section. Instead, they will be visible under "Show unavailable listings" section.
