How to use Airbnb Guest Reviews

Now you can write reviews about your Airbnb guests directly in Hotel Link. This update brings greater transparency and allows you to participate more actively in Airbnb’s trusted review ecosystem.

Why is this feature important?

On Airbnb, both hosts and guests are encouraged to leave reviews after each stay. Guest reviews play a key role in shaping the experience of the Airbnb community and help maintain quality standards across the platform.

By using this feature, you will:

  • Encourage responsible behavior from guests

  • Improve your visibility and credibility on Airbnb

  • Gain valuable feedback to enhance your services

When can you write a guest review?

On Airbnb, both you (the host) and guests have 14 days after checkout to leave a review for a stay. These reviews are not immediately visible to the other party or the public. They are published either when both you and guest have submitted their reviews, or after the 14-day period has ended, whichever comes first. 

How to write a guest review

To write a guest review, go to Booking details page > Guest details section. 

The visibility of the Guest Review button on the Booking Details page depends on Airbnb’s system notification:

  • Case 1: Airbnb has not yet sent a notification confirming that the booking is ready for review, the Guest Review button will not appear.

  • Case 2: Airbnb sends the notification indicating that a review can be submitted for the booking, the Guest Review button will be displayed on the Booking Details page.

When the Guest Review button is available on a booking, you can follow these steps to submit your review:

  1. Click the Guest Review button
    A pop-up window will appear.

  2. Rate your satisfaction
    You will be asked to rate the guest in three mandatory categories. Each category requires a rating from one to five stars.

  3. Write your review
    Enter your written feedback about the guest.

  4. Submit your review
    Once complete, click the Submit button to send your review to Airbnb. The review will be sent via the official Airbnb API. After submission, your review cannot be edited.

If you choose to cancel, simply click the Cancel button and the review will not be saved.

After submission, clicking the Guest Review button will show the completed review in a read-only format.

Note: If the review period has expired (past 14 days since check-out date) and no review has been submitted, a notification will appear indicating that the review window is closed.
