Numbering or naming room unit enables efficient management of reservations, cleaning schedules, maintenance, and guest requests.
What is room name?
A "room unit name" typically refers to a specific identifier, label, or designation assigned to individual rooms or units within the hotel. This is different from room type name in Booking Engine room setup. These names are used to differentiate and categorize each room, making it easier for guests, staff, and management to identify and manage the rooms effectively.
Room unit names can include alphanumeric codes, numbers, or other identifiers that uniquely represent each room, such as "101," "Suite A," etc.
How to set and edit room names?
The default room unit names in the calendar will be automatically generated based on the room type name. For example, if there are 3 units of the ‘Standard Room’, the Front Desk will name the units ‘Standard Room 1’, ‘Standard Room 2’ and ‘Standard Room 3’. To Edit the room names in the Calendar, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Calendar in the Front Desk.
- Hover over the room unit name.
- Click on the wrench icon.
- Enter the new unit name in the popup.
- Click 'Save'."
