Housekeeping and room status settings

Hotel Link provides you with Front Desk to make it easy for you to manage the housekeeping process. With simple steps, you can easily control room status, assign rooms, and notify housekeepers of rooms that need cleaning.

What is Housekeeping function?

Housekeeping is a necessary aspect of any accommodation’s daily operation. It involves the task of keeping room status checked and ensures that they are clean to be ready for guest stays. This operational task needs to be well taken care of in order to provide guests with the best comfortable service experience.

What is room status?

Room status is the condition of the room that shows if the room is clean, or dirty. From room status, hoteliers can assign housekeepers for the rooms that need to be cleaned.

Room status settings

To configure room status, please follow the steps below:

  • Go to housekeeping under the Front Desk tab.

  • Room status settings can be easily modified within the 'settings' button on the right-hand side.

  • In 'settings' popup, you can choose the status including dirty, clean, check, or the current status for the rooms:

  • Occupied room: Adjusts the status of all rooms with stayover guests automatically at the turn of the day. 
  • Empty room: Adjusts the status of all the empty rooms automatically at the turn of the day. 
  • Checked-out room: Adjust the status of all rooms automatically after guest check-out.
  • Changed room: Adjust the status of all rooms automatically after a guest is moved from one room to another.
  • After choosing the room status setting, click ‘Save’.
