How to add extras to a booking?

Extras are additional services or amenities that guests can choose to include in their reservation for an enhanced stay, such as breakfast, transfers or spa treatments.

Extras are often offered at an additional cost and can be selected during the booking process or added later, allowing guests to customize their stay according to their preferences and needs.

There are two different types of extras in our extranet:

Booking Extras

This option is available for properties that are using our booking engine module. Booking Extras are a selection of services that incur additional charges and can be booked during the online booking process. For more details, please consult the 'How to create and manage extras?' article.

In-house Extras

This option is only available for properties that are using our Front Desk module. In-house extras are all the items that guest can consume during their stay such as food and beverages, room service, minibar items, etc. These items are not offered to be booked during the online booking process.

Adding extras to a booking

To add extra services to a booking, follow these steps:

  • Go to Booking Engine > Booking Management.
  • Find the specific booking you wish to update.
  • Enter the reservation to access the Booking Details page.
  • In the Rooms & Extras section, click on the 'Action' menu.
  • Choose the option 'Add new extra'.
  • In the 'Add New Extra Item' popup, select the desired service to add.

Enter the following information:

  • Room Name: Assign the extra service to a specific room.
  • Category: Choose the category to which the extra service belongs.
  • Booking item: Select the extra item. Choose 'Other' to manually enter a custom extra item.
  • Items: Specify the number of extras to be added.
  • Items value: Displays the value of the booking extra. It can be manually edited if needed.
  • Status: Select the status of the item (Confirmed or Cancelled).
