Link the booking engine to your website

It's a breeze to integrate our Booking Engine onto your current website using our widget codes.

This guide is for clients that are using our Booking Engine and have used other website builders like WordPress, Squarespace, etc, to build their property websites. In the Booking Widget module you will find all the different types of widgets and codes to integrate the Booking Engine with your website to allow your guests to make direct bookings online.

What are widgets?

Widgets are interactive components on your website’s interface that get the requested information from the booking engine and present it to the guests. Widgets can be embedded or appear as an element (book now button), and all bookings made through the booking widget will automatically appear in your calendar.

Types of Booking Widgets

Stand-alone Code

The stand-alone code allows users to complete the whole booking process externally (in a new page/tab) in a secure page. The code should be used as a link from a Book Now link, button or banner on the website.

Embedded Code

The embedded code allows users to initiate the booking process inside the website, and complete the check-out process externally in a secure page. The code should be placed on the reservation page of the website.

Example: www.paradisechalets.sc/reservations

Note: After the code is installed on the page it is not necessary to re-upload the code in case of changes to any of the settings on this page. It might be necessary to do manual CSS overwriting and adjustments to adapt the default search widget to the website look and feel.

Advanced Embedded Code

The advanced embedded code includes all variables possible, which means the customisation applied in the extranet does not affect a booking widget implemented using the advanced code.

Note: After the code is installed on the page it is necessary to re-upload the code in case of changes to any of the settings on this page.

Search Widget Code

The search widget allows travelers to initiate the search process from the home page of any website.

The widget can be implemented on the home page or any page of the website, allowing users to input the check-in and check-out and get redirected to the booking page with the search parameters already preloaded for a faster booking experience.

How to add the booking widget to your website

  • Click on Booking Widget on the extranet
  • Copy the widget code that you wish to use on your website

If you are using the Embedded Code, there are several options available on the widget page to customize your widget. From the color of the elements (bars, background colors, button colors) to options to hide selected rooms and rate plans from the widget.
